Hoogeveen Chiropractic Wellness Center plans to remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chiropractic has been listed by the Department of Homeland Security as part of the essential workforce during the pandemic. Any change to this will immediately be posted to this page, our social media pages, and any patients scheduled for appointments will be notified directly. It is our belief, and the belief of the American Chiropractic Association and Nebraska Chiropractic Physician's Association, that chiropractors are providing a vital and essential health care service during this pandemic. Many of our patients would experience a great deal of suffering if our center were to shut down, and would likely need to seek care in the hospitals and medical clinics, which are all ready experiencing strain due to the pandemic and their usual patient flow during this time of the year. Our center has always focused on cleanliness, but we have increased our cleanings and sanitizing protocols significantly, spaced out our waiting rooms chairs, are encouraging patients to wash hands before and after their adjustments, our doctors have started wearing masks when with patients, and we have posted signs and given reminders to all patients experiencing illness symptoms to reschedule their appointments.
